Technical group validates migration policy
The draft National Migration Policy was yesterday validated by the technical working group the federal government had charged with its review. The group comprised National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and more than 60 Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and Civil Society Organizations. Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki said the draft policy takes into account the provisions and aspirations of the ECOWAS agenda.
